$10,000 of Medication Stolen

Pharmacy of the Woods was burglarized on March 12 between the hours of 1:36 a.m. and 1:40 a.m, according to the Twin Peaks Sheriff ’s Department.

The perpetrator entered the premises after shattering the glass portion of the front door. The perpetrator spent approximately three minutes inside the building — stealing around $10,000 worth of medication.

The sheriff ’s department stated that some of the medication stolen were opioids, including Norco — an hydrocodone/acetaminophen that is classified as an opioid analgesic, according to Rxlist.com — Oxycodone, Percocet and Codeine.

Pharmacy of the Woods and Lake Arrowhead Security refused to comment on the incident. The Lake Arrowhead Village is patrolled by Lake Arrowhead Security, a Vyanet Operations Group, Inc. Company based in Bend, Oregon. The security company deferred comment to Lake Arrowhead Village Management. However, Village Management did not return phone calls from the Mountain News.

The incident remains under investigation.
